Here are a few of Blane's 2 month pictures we had taken at Portrait Innovations here in Tuscaloosa. I was happy with how they turned out! He is a very photogenic baby and I am not biased at all! We tried everything to get him to smile but he wouldn't! He fell asleep in the car on the way over and we woke him up getting his first outfit on. Luckily he never cried but he definitely wasn't in the smiling mood.
Blane had a great time visiting his grandparents this weekend. Bo and I got a little break and went fishing on Friday which was fun. Blane has an appointment on Thursday, August 20 to see the cardiologist about his heart murmur. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that it turns out to be nothing.
He is getting so close to rolling over! He just rocks back and forth constantly when he is on his belly. It won't be long. He is really starting to find his voice also. He babbles and talks and laughs all day. I love to hear him making his noises. I start school this Wednesday and I will miss hearing him make noise all day long. He is starting his first day of daycare on the 24th at the Child Development Center on the UA campus. I am so nervous for him! We went by a few days ago so he could meet his teacher and I could make sure I had everything in order for him to start. It is a wonderful place and I know he will be in good hands.

Blane had his 2 month doctor's appointment today which was no fun. :( Poor baby had to get 5 shots! And another immunization by mouth! Good grief that is a lot for a little guy. He cried so hard. Bo held his arms while the nurse gave him the shots. I was glad he was there because I almost cried myself and I know it would have been worse if I would have held his arms. :( He is doing great with his weight gain. He weighed 11 pounds 6 ounces and was in the 50th percentile which she said was perfect. He was 22 and 1/2 inches long and his head was 15 inches both were perfect and in the 50th percentile exactly where is supposed to be!

On the downside....she thinks she may have heard a faint heart murmur. She said that she believes it is nothing to worry about and that is it very common in children. However, she recommended we see a cardiologist in B'ham because he is under 6 months old. So it looks like we will be doing that next week. I really hope she is right that it is nothing. Of course I will worry until I hear it for sure from the cardiologist.

Blane is really started to laugh and smile now which is precious. I am enjoying him so much and I can't imagine having to leave him when school starts which is just a few weeks!

We went to our neice Halle's birthday party at the Guin Waterslide today. So we made a roundtrip to Brilliant and I am exhausted!! It was fun to see Blane get a dip in the water for the first time. He didn't mind his feet being in the water but any further than that he didn't care for. Some of his faces were so cute! Halle had a great time going down the big slide and she had a fun party. Bo took off work for the day so he is even more tired than I am after getting only a few hours sleep today.
I was so happy that Blane's swim outfit fit him. We bought it for him about a month ago and were hoping he would grow into it before the party and he did! As a matter of fact he is growing into a lot of his clothes! He's getting to be a big boy. He spit up a lot today. Not sure if he is getting over full (he is taking 5 oz. now) or if he was just gassy. Going to ask Dr. Cunningham about it Wednesday at his 2 month appointment. I can't wait to see how much he has grown in a little under 2 months. I know it is a lot!

Blane is liking his swing much better now. He actually fell asleep in it the other day! It usually keeps him wide awake. If he is not sleepy he will tolerate it for about 10-15 minutes, just long enough for me to do a few things around the house.
I thought the picture of Bo and Blane sleeping on the couch was really cute because they look so much alike. My two boys....they are actually asleep on the couch together right now. So sweet.
We went to Brilliant for the day Sunday and I got to show Blane off at Paige's bridal shower. Everyone thought he was very cute, and I agree. Lindsay was there with Lola and I got to hold her. Such a sweet little girl. They got to bring Lily home from the hospital today (they are twins born June 27) and we are going to see them tomorrow. Can't wait to meet Lily!
Going to Brilliant again on Friday for Halle's (our neice) 6th birthday party. We went out today to buy her a present and eat lunch. I enjoy the time that Bo, Blane, and I have when he is off. There just isn't enough of it!

Whew! It's been a busy couple of days. We went to Brilliant to visit our family on Monday and Tuesday. It is always good to see them and have babysitters for Blane to give Bo and I a break! Our neice Halle is very good with him. That is a picture of her with Blane above. She is very attentive and thinks it is hilarious when he spits his pacifier out of his mouth. We got back home late yesterday evening and Bo went back to work today so Blane and I had the day to ourselves. I meant to get to the grocery store but didn't make it. Guess that will be on the to do list for tomorrow after I have lunch with a friend.
Blane has had so many visitors since he has been born! He is really loved. Bo's Uncle James and Aunt Teresa visited this evening. It was good to see them.
Blane is really starting to focus on faces and objects now. He absolutely loves the ceiling fan and sits in his bouncy seat for good amounts of time so that I can do a few things around the house. I thank God everyday for blessing me with him.

Blane and I had a little outing today to Art at the Square in Northport to see my friend Irasema who was selling her cute cards and hats. I bought Blane a really cute knitted hat in camo colors that has brown ears on it. So cute!! My friend Kim and her husband Alan were also there and it was good to see them. Kim held Blane while I looked around which I appreciated. Next up was the tent sale at Lollipops and Fairytales where he scored a cute sports bag and t-shirt.
Blane has slept most of the day today. He had a great night last night. He slept from 11:00 pm to 5:30 am! Wow!!! I hope this means he is getting close to sleeping through the night. My mom is here spending the night with me which is a big help.
